The Artificial Intelligence Chair of the Cultural, Social and Civilization Research Institute (ICSCS) in cooperation with Hamedan University of Technology, Shanghai Institute of Science and Research Institute of Technology Studies is organizing a meeting on the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in governance and its implications for Iran on September 13, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tehran time. The meeting will explore the experiences of China in AI governance and the lessons that can be learned for Iran.
The meeting will feature presentations by four experts:
The meeting will be conducted in English. The presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.

- Hassan Bashiri, Department of Computer Science, Hamedan University of Technology, Iran. Dr. Bashiri will discuss the opportunities for AI in the public sector in Iran.
- Hui Li, Shanghai Institute for Science of Science, China. Dr. Li will provide an overview of the development of AI governance in China.
- Sadra Khosravi, Department of Communication & Cyberspace, ICSCS, Iran. Mr. Khosravi will discuss the governance of AI in higher education in Iran and China.
- Mohammad Hoseini Moghadam, Foresight Department, ICSCS, Iran. Mr. Moghadam will analyze the impact of AI on China's science and technology landscape.
