The permanent secretariat of the Farabi International Award has officially issued the call for submissions for its 17th edition, inviting scholars and researchers in the fields of Humanities and Islamic Studies to participate.

According to the Public Relations office of the festival, the secretariat is accepting a variety of academic contributions—including books, final research reports, doctoral dissertations, master’s theses, and research articles—completed or published between March 2022 and March 2025.
The deadline for submissions is September 22, 2026. Interested applicants are encouraged to visit the official website at www.farabiaward.ir for further details and to register their work.
Established in 2007, the Farabi International Award is organized annually under the auspices of Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology. The festival is headquartered at the Institute for Social and Cultural Studies, a location strategically chosen to ensure strong institutional backing from major research and educational centers within the Humanities sector.
The award scope is globally inclusive, covering both domestic and international domains. In the domestic category, the award considers works produced by Iranians regardless of their current residence or employment, while the international category is dedicated to research contributions from non-Iranian scholars.
The 16th edition of the festival concluded last February with a ceremony attended by the President of Iran, where top domestic and international researchers were honored for their contributions to the field.
